It is an entire loaf of bread where the inside has been cut out and cubed. Each cube as well as the outside is then toasted. The cubes get put back into the bread and covered in amazing things like syrup, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and ice cream. 10/10 would highly recommend! EDIT: this was at Squall Cafe in Shinjuku. It’s owned by Pasela Resorts (karaoke).

I won one of these in a raffle at the final fantasy cafe in Osaka. They were calling my number (31) and I didnt even know enough japanese to claim it right away, but I worked it out when nobody else was getting up. It was just me and my wife, so they told me to "form a party" to finish it, ie share it with another table. Good times!
